Dare 2 Desire

That’s because our desires have been vilified for a very long time. Yet desire is a very powerful motivational force that is both evolutionary and emergent.

Evolutionary because it changes as we change. Emergent because it’s not static and it reveals more of itself when we dare to take a step in it’s direction.

So why am I speaking to desire?

We are very good at knowing what we don’t want, and focusing on that. Yet to admit what we’d love is something few of us will do, predominantly because it’s such a vulnerable experience to take a stand for something that holds deep meaning for us.

However, in these extreme times, we NEED the calling of our true desires!

We need to listen more to our hearts and to dare to move in the direction we are being called toward.

This is NOT for the faint of heart.

• It takes courage to claim what we ache for.
• It takes daring to not only admit what we desire, but to equally take a stand for our desires.
• It takes tenacity to be able to feel the pain of yearning so intensely for something and to alchemize that yearning into fulfillment, even when we do not get what we believe we desire.
  

The price we pay for NOT listening to our desire: a very slow (lifelong) and painful suicide. That’s right, when we ignore our own desire, we die inside. If this goes on too long, we forget what it feels like to be turned-on, lit up, and enthused by life itself.

The problem?

• We don’t know what we want.
• We know what we want, but feel like we are not worthy of it.
• We know what we want, feel worthy of it, but have no clue how to receive it.

The solution?

To dare together.
